When domestic solar panels first became widely available in the early 2010's, most of us were paying around 16p per Kilowatt hour for our electricity, and it made economic sense to spend as much as £15,000 for a solar PV system. . .  (almost none of which included any form of battery storage).

Times, however, have changed.

Even with the short-term price cap in force, we are all paying more than double that for energy from the grid!  On a much more positive note however, SOLAR PV TECHNOLOGY has now significantly improved in efficiency. . .  and has tumbled in price.
